Introduction
Situated on the outskirts of the market town of Wadebridge, Elba B&B is the perfectplace to stay whether you are visiting for business or leisure. Located in Whitecross close to the Royal Cornwall Showground we are a 30 minute walk, or a 5 minute bus ride from themain shops. Elba B&B is situated in a quiet road leading to the Camel Trail/Estuary.

We offer 2 bedrooms on the first floor both have ensuite facilities with shower and toilet.
For breakfast, where possible, we uselocally sourced ingredients and cater for varying dietary requirements.

Pre-Arrival
• For details and maps of how to reach us please see the‘Contact’ page of our website www.elbabbcornwall.co.uk Alternatively, you can plan your journey by car or public transport using www.cornwallpublictransport.info The nearest railway station is Bodmin Parkway, which is 10 miles from Wadebridge.  A bus runs from Liskeard to Padstow stopping at Bodmin railway station,Wadebridge and Whitecross.
• The nearest bus stop is 500m/546yds from Elba B&B - ask thedriver for the stop with a shelter adjacent to the Royal Cornwall showground on the A39. 
• There is paving for part of the way from the bus stop to our B&B.

Car Parking and Arrival
• There is sufficient parkingfor all guests using domestic vehicles on the driveway at the front of the house.
• The driveway is covered with tarmac and a motion sensor light operates at night.
• There is street lighting.
• There are 3 steps up to the front door.
• The front door to the porch is 750mm/29.5ins wide, the door from the porch into the hallway slides to the right and has an opening width of 690mm/27ins.
• Assistance can be given with luggage.

Welcome Area
• Guests are welcomed in the hallway, which is level throughout, before being shown to their room - guest bedrooms are upstairs.
• The flooring is covered with short pile carpet.
• The area is evenly and well lit with overhead lighting
• Guests are requested to complete the registration form provided with the information folder in their room.

Bedrooms
• On the first floor there are 2 guest rooms with king size double beds reached by stairs only.
• The doors to the bedrooms are 750mm/29.5ins wide.
• The height of beds from the top of the mattress to the floor is Garden room 540mm; Estuary room 580mm.
• Rooms are bright and evenly lit. Overhead lighting is controlledby a switch by the door. Bedside lamps are also in each room.
• Our bedrooms offer the following:
- Lighting as above, short pilecarpet.
- 1400 pocket sprung mattresses covered with a microfibre protector, duvets are white goose feather and down treated with Ultra Fresh anti-microbial protection, pillows are white goose feather and down treated with Ultra Fresh and covered with microfibre protectors. 
- Non feather duvets are available on request, non-feather pillows are provided in a zipped bag in each room.  A top sheet and blanket isprovided in a zipped bag in each bedroom. 
- Digital television with integral DVD player with remote control &subtitles.
- DAB/FM radio/alarm clock which plays and charges any iPhone or iPod

Shower-rooms & Toilets
• Both rooms have en-suite shower rooms.
• The toilet height is Garden room 400mm/15.7ins; Estuary room 380mm/15 ins.
• Shower rooms have pedestal basins: the Estuary room has mixer taps.
• Shower rooms have insetceiling lights and an integral motion activated light within the mirrors. The mirrors have a demister that operates when the mirror is lit.
• Non-slip vinyl flooring is in each shower room.
• Doors to the 2 shower rooms are 750mm/29.5ins wide.

Public Areas - Halls, Stairs, Landings, Corridors
• Public areas areporch, hall, stairs, landing which are lit using traditional ceiling lights.
• The stairs have an open tread and arecovered with short pile carpet.
• There is one step up before the continuous flight of thirteen steps to the first floor with a handrail on one side.
• There is no public toilet on the ground floor.

Heating
• Rooms are heated by radiators shower rooms have heated towel radiators.

Dining / Breakfast Room
• The breakfast room is situatedon the ground floor at the end of the hallway with stepfree/level entry.
• The door opening to the dining room is 750mm/29.5ins wideand it is level throughout.
• There is a large window overlooking the garden giving the room natural daylight, overhead lighting is used plus a table lamp.
• The flooring is short pile carpet.
• We are able to cater for varying dietary requirements. Pleaseadvise us when making a booking.
• Breakfast is served; help yourself to fruit juices, yoghurts, cereals and fruit.
• Crockery is white and tablecloths are white.

Garden
• There is a patio area at the rear of the property which can be accessed along the side of the house.  A wooden table and bench is available on the patio.  In warm weather a white upvc table and chairs are available.
• The garden area at the rear is well stocked with shrubs and a greenhouse.
• There is crazy paving around the garden.

Additional Information
• We have a set of evacuation procedures which can be found in the room information folders - should you require it someone will come to your room and assist you with evacuation.  The windows in the upstairs bedrooms have wide opening windows.
• We are a non-smoking establishment; guests may smoke on the rear patio or at the front of the house where cigarette stubbers are provided.
• The nearest General Hospital with a Minor Injuries unit is located at Bodmin approximately 6 miles away however this is not 24 hour.  The Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro (25 miles away) is open 24 hours and has an A&E.
• The nearest Doctor’s surgery is 1mile away in Wadebridge.  The nearest dentist is 1 mile away in Wadebridge.  Details can be found in the room information folders. 
• Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available.

Future Plans
We are planning to continue with redecoration and modernisation of the property.
